Zlota Baba?
Zlota Baba – Polish "Golden Woman" a goddess who received many sacrifices and gave oracles, depicted in gold. This is all could find of this goddess. Does anyone know anything more about it, or maybe where I can find information about it. The only thing that Wikipedia was what had on the list.
Hello Darling, Zlota Baba is knowed to be in a class of warrior goddesses and the goddess of the oracles, which gives visions. Many became Sacrifice for her, which at some point have demonized. There's really not that much of her, she is one of the goddesses lower knower, but only because she is not too knower, does not mean that it is no less a goddess. Hope this helps sweetie.
Three traditional Polish recipes
Have You been hunting around for a traditional Polish recipe drop? Although it is difficult to find Polish recipes online truly authentic, I have found three recipes that preparations remain quite faithful to the traditional Polish style. I hope you enjoy the following recipes for Polish meat and potatoes, and kugelhopf halushki. Thanks for reading!
Meat and potatoes
Ingredients:
4 potatoes (peeled and cut into 1-inch)
1 (16 ounce) package kielbasa sausage (cut into 1-inch)
1 onion (chopped)
2 green peppers (cut into 1 inch pieces)
1 / 2 teaspoon onion powder
1 / 2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 / 2 teaspoon salt
1 / 4 teaspoon black pepper
1 / 4 cup vegetable oil
Getting There:
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Throw in the potatoes and onions and cook for about 15 minutes. Stir occasionally. Reduce heat medium and add the onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper and red pepper pieces. Stir well and cover the pan. Allow the mixture to cook for 5 minutes before adding in kielbasa. Cover and cook for another 15 minutes (or until onions are caramelized.)
Halushki
Ingredients:
1 1 / 2 pork chops lbs
1 onion (chopped)
1 large cabbage (cut into squares)
1 pound large egg noodles
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder (to taste)
salt and pepper to taste
Getting There:
Season both sides of pork chops with garlic powder, pepper and salt. Grease a frying pan deep and place the pork chops in it. Add in chopped onion and fry over medium heat until cooked through. When the chops are cooked, remove from skillet and set aside. Add a little water to pan and mix the juice. " Put the cabbage in the skillet and cook until done. In a pan filled with water, bring to boil and add the egg noodles. Cook until al dente. Drain the pasta and mix with butter. Cut the pork chops into small pieces and set aside. When the cabbage is cooked, add the pork chops and noodles cooked pieces. Mix well and serve hot.
Eggnog and Ron Kugelhopf
Ingredients:
3 1 / 2 cups bread flour (divided)
2 1 / 2 teaspoon instant yeast
1 / 2 cup sugar white
1 / 2 teaspoon salt
1 / 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup currants
3 tablespoon rum extract
1 cup eggnog
1 cup butter
3 eggs
1 / 4 cup sliced almonds (for garnish)
2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for sprinkling)
How Directions:
Soak currents in the rum extract overnight. In a saucepan, bring the eggnog to a boil, then pour into a large bowl. Add 1 1 / 2 cups bread flour and mix until smooth. Allow to cool to about 110 degrees F (or hot to the touch). Add yeast and mix until well mixed. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rise for about half an hour (or until doubled in size). Using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until smooth, then beat in eggs individually. Then add the salt and cinnamon. Mix well and then pour into flour mixture. Blend until smooth. Add in the remaining 2 cups flour and mix for 3 minutes. Wait for dough to be very sticky. Add the raisins and cover the bowl with plastic again. Added by another 20 minutes. Lightly grease a Bundt pan and sprinkle the bottom with sliced almonds. Add the ground mixture into the pan and Bundt cover with plastic wrap. Let it rise for an hour to an hour and a half. Remove the plastic wrap and bake at 375 degrees F for half an hour, or until bread is brown gold. Turn the pan upside kugelhopf Bundt to release a wire rack. Once it has cooled, dust lightly with powdered sugar before serving.
