If the Japanese are the ones to create a new alphabet or writing system for the use of foreign words?
Are there others? I am familiar with katakana (I have lived in Japan for 15 years). My question is: Are there other languages that use a special alphabet for foreign words?
In fact, I know of no other writing systems that have a particular writing system for foreign words. Maybe Japan is the only language with that.
