Lacquer Red
Staining of a marsh body of the guitar ash?

All right. I bought a swamp ash stratocaster body part. I want you to spot what has reddish brown spots pushing plenty of grain through. These are the steps I am planning to use. 1) spray the guitar down with a little water to raise the grain .. dry approximately 2 hours, then sand down. 2) spray a little more water just before applying the stain. 3) provides a shelter black spot for the grain I want to pop by the desire to be nice and visible.Dry. sand so that only show black grain. 4) mix my Red Cherry, and mahogany red spots and apply a piece of cotton pillowcase (old) to apply patch 5) of sand a little more 6) applies to me like it. Then apply clear lacquer to give it a nice shiny guitar. Are these steps correct and is there anything I should do in steps? Thanks!

Step 2. Is this spot Water-based? or is in the hope that only some will get into the grain. I do not think this will give an even more because there is no way to know the density wood as you go through it inch by inch. Not knowing how to respond to swamp ash stains.
