Dateline NBC, Primetime 48 hours of crime and mystery are full of stories of men killing or conspiracy to kill their wives or girlfriends. And these women are the same people who these men supposedly loved and appreciated. A woman is more likely to be killed or seriously hurt by their significant others than by a stranger because of the intensity of emotions involved?
