How Can You whiten your teeth without damaging your enamel?
I’m not a fan of whitening strips-my cousin used them, and she couldn’t eat or drink anything that was hot or cold, it had to be at room temperature because the whitening strips destroyed her enamel (however her teeth were very white.) is there any other method? i have these weird lines on my teeth, not too noticeable, but they’re slightly yellow, and i would like to get rid of them. anything besides baking soda? thnx 
I’ve found that there is no way to whiten teeth without damaging the enamel, because essentially that is what all whitening methods do. They all use hydrogen peroxide, which basically erodes the protective layers on your teeth to make them appear more white. Its incredibly dangerous and I’m surprised they even sell those products anymore. Doing this to your teeth can lead to severe cavities. If your teeth hurt, its a good sign that they are on their way to tooth decay.
Also, once you use whitening products, your teeth are prone to become more yellow in the future because the dentin (a layer in the teeth) is more exposed. Dentin is naturally a yellow color.
The only thing I can suggest that is semi-safe is eating apples, which contain pectin and will temporarily whiten your teeth a little bit. Gargling milk around your teeth can also make them appear a little whiter, and sometimes it can help with sensitivity.
