Crystal Ball
How do You Make a crystal ball? Out of paper?

So for Halloween (which is on Friday) i want to be dressed up as a psychic. I have the costume but i want this really cool accessory. A crystal ball. I don’t want to buy anything. Is it possible to make a crystal ball out of aluminum foil or tape? i don’t want to buy anything for this project. BEST ANSWER GETS 10 POINTS!!!!
PS i want something light so i can carry it
and how do you make one that is hollow so i can put candy in it?

My first thought when I read your question was paper mache. If you made a pinata type ball, it would be light, and you could cover it with foil, or spraypaint it.

For paper mache, make a flour and water mixture that is the consistency of a pretty thick paste. Tear newspaper into strips, dip it into the paste, run the paper through two fingers to get rid of the excess paste, and plaster it onto a balloon or a ball if you want a perfect circle. Let the first layer dry, and add a second layer, and maybe a third, depending how sturdy you want it.

Then cover it with foil or spraypaint it or whatever you want.

What if You Had a Crystal Ball

Did you sit with your friends in college on a friday night and think about what your life would be like?

Were you planning on being married? Having kids? What size house were you planning on living in? What did you envision your spouse to look like?

Did you envision who you would marry? The house you would live in? Would you live in the mountains? Join a golf or country club? Own a Private Jet or yacht? Would you drive a very expensive car? What colleges would your children go to?

So we finished school, got a job and a career, married, had kids. Then either divorced or stayed married. Now that we have our lifestyle we know that our career has to be a priority. Kids go to a certain school. Made friends with the neighbors. Participated in Boy or Girl Scouts. Kids play sports. We see other parents after work, taking their kids to practice. See them at the games on the weekend. We have bumped up to the bigger house and maybe have a summer house.

We have the things now. Also the headaches. Their is always projects to do on the house. Either expanding, fixing or updating. Kids want stuff. Every year the kids and their stuff get bigger and more expensive.

Our expenses keep going up. Most recent is the cost of gas. More people who want new cars are leasing not buying. Others are sworn to drive their car until it breaks. Food always seems to increase as well as clothing and taxes. The list seems to be endless.

The other end is that the weekly or biweekly checks are not endless. Budgets are always tight. The influx of money is constant while expenses increased. We know what our check will be on payday.

The housing and mortgage market is going crazy. People thought they could afford a bigger house and only pay the adjustable interest rate. Those affordable mortgages are not so affordable now that the rates are going up. Foreclosures are increasing especially with adjustable mortgages coming due.

We are limited by our thinking, more importantly by our pocket book. The services that bill us, who want our money, don’t care about our budget restraints. These companies provide their service and want to be paid on time.

As I look around and observe. Seems like people are caught in this vortex. Almost a black hole. They know they are being pulled in. They observe that. Unable to sidestep the fact and then be over burdened by their financial obligations.

Some people are like a deer on the road. They see the headlights and knowing what’s ahead they don’t move out of the way?

What happened to those dreams of childhood. Did Someone tell you that “It is time for you to grow up?”, “Be responsible?”, “To get real?”

Did they end your dreams of what can be possible? I asked some friends of mine who were told to grow up. They responded that someone, in their family or a close friend, told them that they now have obligations and stop dreaming. I call them dream stealers.

Dream stealers mean well. They have good intentions. As long as you follow their advise. If you ask their advise and follow yours, you will hear, “I Told You so”, “I tried that before”, “that doesn’t work because” or “if I were you” answer. These people have limited beliefs. Life didn’t go their way when they created their plan. They want the world to now know that life is tough.

Life doesn’t have to be tough. What one thinks and believes usually will become true. If you believe that life is tough then your belief is true and you will get what you believe.

If you believe that life is about serving others. Being good and making the right decisions that help people and yourself. What you put attention to, focus on and believe most times come true. That too is true.

So whatever you believe you are absolutely right. People will pick up on that energy and that belief will become your reality.
