Are you supposed to apply the top coat while the nail polish is still wet?
I have heard that in order to get the best effect you should apply the top coat when the nail polish color is still a bit wet. Is this true? If not when is the best time to apply the top coat to help make the polish last longer?
When your nail polish is tacky (a little dry, but still damp), you should begin applying your topcoat. I usually wait about 2 minutes. This is how all the nail artists I’ve ever gone to do my nails, and it always lasts forever! So I copied the method and it works just as well for me :]
Also, make sure to wear a bottom coat to promote even more longevity. Our nails have natural oils in them that prevent the nail Polish From adhering properly to the nail, which is why we absolutely must use a bottom coat!
So first use a bottom coat, wait 2 minutes. Then the regular Color Nail polish, wait 2 minutes. Then the Top Coat, wait a millllion minutes to dry (or use OPI quick Dry Drops http://www.beautyencounter.com/619828011039.html )
